I did it! I completed the Runner's World Run Streak! I ran at least a mile each day from Thanksgiving to New Year's and I am very proud of myself. I have never done anything like this before and wasn't sure if I would actually be able to keep it up.
Here is what 36 days of awesome looks like:
It wasn't as bad as I initially thought it would be. The 36 day challenge was great because it motivated me to get out and do something each day. I was so determined to finish the streak that it just became normal that I ran every day. Hubby even got used to it. I didn't have trouble getting out and doing at least one mile a day until towards the end of the streak especially on Christmas Day and on the day we flew back from Seattle, and in these instances the trouble wasn't my dedication and determination to get out and run, but just outside influences.
But I stuck with my goal and did it. I managed and got it done. I pushed myself to get out and run whether it be real early in the morning or even at night. It was also nice because I did not feel so bad eating all of the yummy treats over the holidays. I'm so happy I did it!
Have you ever done a run streak? If so how was it? If not, would you?
