NYC Half Marathon Training Week 3: 1/5-1/11

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 1/5 - Did a Cardio and Strength training workout I found on Pinterest using my New Boson Sport jump rope. You can check out the review and workout here. Jump roping is tough but an awesome workout!
Tuesday 1/6 - 3.5 mile run while it was snowing.
Wednesday 1/7 - Some speed work: 6x400's at 5K pace and a cool down jog. 
Thursday 1/8 - 3.2 mile run with friends. It was cold out but we got it done and still had fun! :)
Friday 1/9 - PiYo Sweat
Saturday 1/10 - 3.2 mile run to the canal and back. 
Sunday 1/11 - 6.2 mile long run. It was a beautiful day. Felt warmer than the last couple of days, but warmer as in the 30's. :p
Another decent week of training. I'm happy I got all my runs in despite the cold weather. I found that once you get out there and moving, and you warm up, it's not so bad. It's all a matter of getting yourself out the door.

  2. Way to go on running when it got cold outside. Your Wednesday pic - someone did a great job with cleaning the snow from the sidewalk/trail!

  3. Thanks Jenny! Yes, it's nice! We live in a condo development and they take care of clearing the sidewalks and snowplowing/salting the roads. They do a great job! :)
