Happy Thursday! Today's Throwback Thursday post takes us to hike in the North Cascades, Heather Lake.
Heather Lake 9/12/09
Heather lake is a 4 mile hike off of the Mountain Loop Highway near Mt. Pilchuck. It is a great hike for kids as I remember passing two dads with their boys. The boys were probably around 5 or 6 and I remember thinking when we saw them that I hope my little guy will be like that. :)
The hike takes you through the forest where you see some old growth. I remember some parts being very muddy once getting closer to the lake. On this hike I was not able to take any pics as I remember bringing my camera but the battery pack was left at home. Fortunately, thanks to a friendly gentleman by the name of Eugene who noticed we had no camera, was very nice to take our picture by the lake. Here are the pics he emailed us.
The lake is pretty! Overall a decent hike!
Gorgeous views and once again - cutest little guy!
ReplyDeleteThat was really nice of Eugene to take pics and email them to you! Payton is too cute! I remember doing that hike long ago. :)

ReplyDeleteYeah it's really nice that he did that for us! And what is funny is that it has happened to me before and another nice gentleman sent me some pics. Lots of friendly hikers out there. :)
