Monday 2/23 - PiYo Define Lower Body.
Tuesday 2/24 - 5 mile run. It was very cold out, only 10 degrees.
Wednesday 2/25 - Strong 45 minute run.
Thursday 2/26 - 3 mile run with friends at Mercer County Park. There was lots of ice on the trail so we had to be careful. We still made it fun and I got this good mid-run selfie. :)
Friday 2/27 - PiYo Define Lower Body
Saturday 2/28 - 3 mile run.
Sunday 3/1 - 12 mile long run.
I'd say this was another decent week of workouts. I got all my running in and some PiYo. The 12 mile long run went as good as it could. I didn't get any strength training in so that's a downer but it's ok. Yoga every day for at least 5 minutes for the prAna #sweatpink #taketheleap challenge has been going really well. I enjoy the new poses I get to learn each day and I am doing some of the regular yoga stretches each day and seeing improvements.
Aside from training, this weekend was fairly busy. On Saturday the whole fam went to the Howell Living History farm to check it out. It was a beautiful day, cold but sunny. It was nice because they had an event going on and we warmed up by eating some yummy pancakes and drinking hot chocolate. The hot chocolate really hit the spot.
My 5 year old's classmate had her birthday party at Bounce U so we took the kiddos there. This was the first time I had ever been to a Cosmic Bounce U party where the lights are off and they get glow in the dark necklaces. Pretty cool, just hard for the adults to watch the kiddos. ;) The kids had a blast though.
Sunday was spent mostly relaxing and staying out of the snow and ice. I did get to spend time with just the girls on both Friday night for a girls night to get some drinks and also had brunch on Sunday after my long run. It's always so nice to spend that extra time with the ladies. Didn't get any pics, but hopefully next time I'll remember to snap a few. :)
Looks like you had a great week despite the weather and you got in your workouts. I too participated in the #taketheLeap challenge although I didn't post everyday. I did pretty good for a beginner and will continue to add yoga into my workouts. It really helps my running. :)

ReplyDeleteThanks Jenny!! Ah thanks for thinking it's my type of run! :) I've actually been avoiding the trails lately because it so hard to run on right now. Hopefully I'll be able to get back on them soon!

ReplyDeleteGreat job with your training!! I've enjoyed running in the winter, except the ice just makes things a little too scary!
ReplyDeleteThanks Janelle! Yeah, I'm not fond of the ice either. Just gotta be careful!
