Monday 6/1 - Rest
Wednesday 6/3 - 4 miles on National Running day.
Thursday 6/4 - 3 miles
Friday 6/5 - Short hike with the kiddos for #hike2015 with @mtnmamatales @hikelikeawoman. Challenge was to bring a garbage bag on your hike and pick up litter on the trail. It was great because the kiddos got really into it and enjoyed cleaning up the trail.
I also did another walk/jog after dinner to a nearby playground and back while the kiddos biked or rode their scooter.
Saturday 6/6 - 6 miles with friends.
Sunday 6/7 - Another 6.6 miles with running friends. Great turnout for an early morning MRTT run.
Also hiked with the fam to Wyanokie High Point. Blog post will be up soon!
It was a pretty good week of running with friends. Got in some good mileage so I'm pretty happy with how the week went. I could use some more cross training like strength or PiYo but I'm enjoying not having to follow any type of schedule for now. :)
As to the weekend, it was pretty darn good. Saturday started off with my 4 year old's last soccer game of the season. He did great and I'm so proud of him because he did awesome all season.
Next up was 6 year old's T-ball game. Another good game for him. His team is getting better each game.
Later in the afternoon, we attended a friends birthday party. They had a cute cowboy theme and it was organized really well with great decorations, games, and party favors.
The kiddos even panned for gold in a sandbox. It was really cute. The adults had fun too!
Sunday, after my morning run with MRTT friends we headed over to Norvin State Park to hike Wyanokie High Point. It was a beautiful day for hiking! Trip report will be up on the blog soon!
After the hike we headed to an ice cream shop we saw on the way back to celebrate our fun adventure.
That sums up the weekend! Linking this post up with Tara at Running N’ Reading for her Weekend Update.
Sounds like a fun and busy weekend! I love that the birthday party seemed to take the cowboy theme everywhere- and not in a crazy way! Keep up with the good workouts!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lauren! Yes, they did a great job with the cowboy theme, it was a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteLook at your little t-ball player, just getting it done; he is so stinking cute! I'm so glad y'all had such a great weekend, Sharon; thanks so much for linking up!
ReplyDeleteThe t-ball pic of your son running the base is cute - he is flying! The cowboy theme is adorable - I like they were "panning for gold". Good week of workouts.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet that you and the kiddos cleaned up the trail!
ReplyDeleteAnother fitness and adventure filled week for you guys! Great action shot of the boys. I know what you mean about it being nice to not follow any particular program sometimes. I like running when I want and cross training when I want or to switch up long run and shorter run days. And WOW what a view on that last hiking picture of all your boys!
ReplyDeleteLove how active you are with your boys! It's nice to not have a plan to follow sometimes, how often can or do we take of advantage of that is what I think:) you're getting in some awesome runs though!:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea for a birthday party! Looks like a great place to hike with an awesome view! Great job with your workouts last week too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tara! Thank you for the linkup! Hope you are enjoying your week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenny! Yes, the "panning for gold" was an awesome touch. They even used pyrite (fools gold) in the sandbox!
ReplyDeleteThanks Abby! It was great and nice to teach the kiddos about helping out the community and to not litter.
ReplyDeleteThanks Diane!! It is really nice to be free to do what I want. :) The hike last weekend was awesome! Hikes like that remind me of ones back home in the Pacific Northwest and why I love hiking so much! The views are amazing and just being out in nature is so great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Hailey! It's hard not to be active with the boys because Hubby and I are so active. Hopefully they will think it's normal to be active and keep it up as they get older. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry! The party was organized well and so much fun! The hike was awesome too! The hike we did reminded me of home and the PNW, so much fun!
