Back to the West Coast which will be nice as both of our families are out west. We are so excited! The big move will most likely take place Mid-November. That means lots of work in between. We did a bunch of cleaning and even put a bunch of things into storage to clear up space, now we have to get our condo ready to put up on the market. Which means painting and making our place presentable to show for possible buyers.
Anyway, back to training for that half marathon in October. :)
The week was pretty good. It was an easier week for running according to the Asics App I use. Got a little cross training in on the deskcyle which I am loving because I can do it while watching tv at night. I pretty much got all of the runs in and even while traveling to Toronto! More about our trip later.
Here's a recap of last week's workouts:
Monday 8/3 - 1.88 mile hike with the kiddos and 30 min. on the deskcycle.
Tuesday 8/4 - 3 mile run.
Wednesday 8/5 - 5 mile run.
Thursday 8/6 - 3 mile run in the morning and 30 min. of cycling on the deskcyle.
Friday 8/7 - Rest
Saturday 8/8 - Rest
Sunday 8/9 - 5.5 mile run in Toronto.
As to the weekend, it was fabulous! We had a mini vacation to Niagara Falls and Toronto! I had always wanted to visit Niagara Falls and Toronto ever since we moved to the East Coast and now was our chance. We got to Niagara Falls on Friday and Saturday and Sunday was spent in Toronto. We got back just today which is why this blog post is up later than usual. I will post a few pics from our trip as I will have a more detailed blog post up later in the week! :)
Niagara Falls was pretty amazing! The falls are pretty massive. This view is from the Maid of The Mist boat we road and got pretty soaked.

I really need to add some strength training in. I keep writing about adding cross training and strength training in, in hopes that I will do it. We'll see how it goes. :pAs to the weekend, it was fabulous! We had a mini vacation to Niagara Falls and Toronto! We got to view the Falls from both sides and I say the Canadian side is much better!
On Saturday we headed to Toronto and visited both the Ontario Science Centre and the CN Tower.
On Sunday, we took a street car to Chinatown for Dimsum.
Then we checked out the Casa Loma and the Royal Ontario Museum.
It was a great weekend overall! I am so glad I got both Niagara Falls and Toronto checked off my bucket list of things to do while on the East Coast. That sums up my weekend. Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap. Have a great week!
