Monday 9/14 - 5 mile run.
Tuesday 9/15 - Got some speed work in with a friend. We did a warm up jog, then 9x400's with walking in between, and then a nice cool down jog. It was a tough workout since I had not done speed work in a long while. We did a total of 5.5 miles including the speed work.
Wednesday 9/16 - 3 miles and a Bosu Total Body workout.
Thursday 9/17 - Running rest day, did a Bosu Total body workout.
Friday 9/18 - 5 miles including some hill training with friends.
Saturday 9/19 - 10 mile long run with friends.
Sunday 9/20 - Running rest day but got in a 3 mile hike with the fam.
Training this week has gone pretty good. I'm getting good runs in. Got both some really good speed work and even a little hill training, so I am happy. I'm also loving cross training with the BOSU balance trainer. If you missed my post yesterday, this week is all about balance. You can check out this week's prompts for the #BOSUStrong challenge here.
I am also excited because next Saturday is the Beat the Blerch half marathon. I'm treating this as a fun training run and I'll be running with some friends. Can't wait to see the blerches running around along with the cupcakes, nutella, and magical grape beverages at the aid stations. :p Should be fun!
As to the weekend, it started out with a 10 mile long run Saturday morning. It was a pretty good run. The company was great and the miles went by quickly.
Afterwards it was soccer for both kiddos.
After soccer we had to be out of our place since our condo was being shown, we went for some frozen yogurt.
We tried out a new place, 16 Handles and the kiddos loved it! They had a yummy mango flavor.
Then we headed out to a park we had not been to in a while and had some playground fun.
Sunday, we went on a 3 mile hike with the fam around Rosedale Park and found 2 geocaches along the way. It was a beautiful day and glad we were able to spend part of it outside.
That sums up my week. Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
How was your week?
