Here's how my week went and recap of last week's workouts:
Monday 11/23 - Rest day. Got in a short bike ride with the fam.
Tuesday 11/24 - 5 mile run.
Wednesday 11/25 - Rest.
Thursday 11/26 - Thanksgiving 5 mile run. Hillier route than I'm used to.
Friday 11/27 - 4 mile run. Lots of hills.
Saturday 11/28 - 1 mile run after a long day of driving back home.
Sunday 11/29 - 6 mile run.
I'm pretty happy with my running this week. I am attempting to do the Runner's World run streak, hashtag #rwrunstreak again this year. I did it last year and was successful on completing it. I figure I would attempt it this year again to help encourage me to run and to see if I could again be successful. I'm saying attempt because I know it will be hard especially with hubby away this week. That and we'll be heading to Utah for Christmas and I'm not sure if I'll be motivated to run in the snow and where we're going may not have safe running routes, but we'll see. I will try my best.
As to the week, we got into Southern California (Ladera Ranch) late Tuesday night. We left right after lunch around 1:30pm and did not get to my sister-in-law's house until 10pm so it was a very long drive. We did stop for dinner, but there was also traffic along the way that delayed our arrival time.
The kiddos had a blast playing with their cousins. We did lots of fun things during our short stay. On our first full day, we went ice skating.
We also played at the park.
On Thanksgiving day we all went on a 4 mile hike at Crystal Cove State Park (trip report coming soon).
And of course had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. The turkey was great and I loved the stuffing my sister-in-law made!
On Friday we headed to Anaheim for the Ducks Vs. Blackhawks game for our first NHL hockey game. Hubby is a fan of the Blackhawks. It was an amazing game because the Blackhawks were down 0-2, until the last 2 minutes of the game where they tied it and it led to overtime. In overtime they were the first to score and won! It was a great ending. Hubby was very happy.
Saturday, we left in the morning and got back home late. It was dark and I almost didn't run my mile for the run streak, but I got it in. On Sunday, it was a day of lots of errands and some grocery shopping. We did put the tree up and also had the kids do their gingerbread house.
That sums up my week. Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
