Rock and Roll San Francisco Half Marathon Training 3/21-3/27

My legs felt pretty good this week considering I ran the Davis Lucky Run Half last week. If you missed my recap, you can read it here. It was a good week of running but not much cross training. I did get a bunch of hiking in though, so I guess that is something.

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 3/21 - 1 mile with 6 year old. He wants to do another 5K so we are starting up running again. So happy that he wants to do another one. He told me he wants to improve from last time. :)
Tuesday 3/22 - 5 mile run.
Wednesday 3/23 - Hill repeats over the overpass with a warm up and cool down and another 2 miles with 6 year old.
Thursday 3/24 - 3 birthday miles with the fam. I was about to head out on my own when 6 year old said he wanted to run the 3 miles with me. I couldn't say no and then every one wanted to go. It was the perfect birthday present. :) We also got in a fun short hike at the Effie Yeaw Nature Center. Hoping to have a recap up this week of our trip on the blog.
Friday 3/25 - Went on our first backpacking trip on the Cache Creek Ridge trail. We hiked 3 miles to our campsite. If you check out my Instagram you can see the cool campsite Hubby found.
Saturday 3/26 - 3 mile hike back to the trail head. It was a great adventure for us and we all enjoyed it. I'll have a recap of our trip on the blog hopefully later this week.
Sunday 3/27 - 11 mile long run.
Rock and Roll San Francisco is coming up on Sunday and I'm excited. My goal is to get under 2 hours. I'm not aiming for a PR because of the hills and I'm not prepared for them so I am also hoping to just enjoy the run and scenery. It will be my first time running the Golden Gate Bridge and I want to just take it all in. :)

To recap the weekend, Friday and Saturday was spent backpacking. The views were amazing and this was such a great spot to get a jump pic with 5 year old.
It was also great watching the sun set with the kiddos.
I'm hoping to have my trip report on the blog soon, so check back to see what else went on while on our first backpacking trip with the kiddos.

Sunday was Easter. The Easter bunny came by and the boys got to partake in two egg hunts. One at home.
And the other at the park with some new friends we made that play soccer on Sundays. It was great meeting more families in the neighborhood.
That sums up my week! Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
