Seattle Rock 'N' Roll Half Marathon Training Week 6: 5/9-5/15

Last week was another decent week of training runs. The highlight was the weekend. I had a great time with friends in San Francisco for Bay to Breakers. It was my first time away from the kids for a night and it was so much fun.

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 5/9 - 4 mile run
Tuesday 5/10 - 5 mile run/walk
Wednesday 5/11 - 4.6 miles
Thursday 5/12 - Short bike ride with 5 year old
Friday 5/13 - 5 miles
Saturday 5/14 - Rest
Sunday 5/15 - Bay to Breakers
I slacked last week on cross training so I'm hoping this week will be better. The weekend was the most exciting event. My friend Lenora was the one that coordinated our hotel and drove us out to San Francisco (thanks so much lady)! We arrived in the afternoon and checked into our hotel. We stayed at the Hyatt which was the race hotel. It is a really nice hotel.
After checking in, we stopped at the Ferry building to grab a quick bite before heading to the expo. The Ferry building is a cool marketplace with lots of restaurants and shops. We decided on some empanadas from El Porteno's that were really good. I got the jamon y queso.
We ate them outside. It was a beautiful day. We decided to walk from the Ferry Building to the expo which was about a 20 minute walk. The expo was at pier 35 but we ended up walking all the way to pier 39 because the line was crazy long just to get into the expo.
The expo was fun and we browsed the booths. More about it will be in my recap coming later this week.

We spent quite a while at the expo and afterwards walked back towards the hotel but saw that time went by pretty fast and with reservations at La Mar Cebicheria Peruana at 5:30pm we decided to just hang out by the waterfront until our reservations at 5:30. It wasn't long and we were in the restaurant. It was my first time trying Peruvian and it was delicious. This is definitely a place I would go back to and especially take Hubby to try. I had the Lomo Saltado and it was very good.
We had great seats outside with a great water view.
It was nice to walk back to our hotel with full stomachs. Got this shot of the Bay Bridge on our way back.
Sunday was Bay to Breakers and we had a blast! More about it will be in the recap later this week!
The weekend with the girls was a blast but it was also nice to go home and see Hubby and the kiddos. Spent some time at the park and then called it a day.
That sums up my week! Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
