Last week was a decent week of running up to the Seattle Rock'n'Roll Half marathon. But what week! It was a busy one! It went by rather fast with basketball camp for the boys and I was pretty excited because of the trip to Seattle. I couldn't wait to see friends and run with MyTeam Triumph Puget Sound on Saturday.
Monday 6/13 - 1 mile with the kiddos.
Tuesday 6/14 - 4.8 miles with a friend.
Wednesday 6/15 - 1 mile while the kiddos played at the park.
Thursday 6/16 - 5 miles with a friend.
Friday 6/17 - Rest
Saturday 6/18 - Rock 'n' Roll Seattle
Sunday 6/19 - 1 recovery mile with my sister so she could continue her RWRunStreak.
It was a busy week. Both boys had basketball camp in the morning which was great. Hubby and I even managed a breakfast date on their last day and that was really nice. The boys had a blast and also enjoyed getting autographs of players and coaches.
Friday, I flew out to Seattle. It was so nice to be back in my home state!
I got in before noon and my sister picked me up and we met up with our good friend from high school. It was so great to see them and especially meet her 6 month old. He is such a cutie and reminds me of the Gerber baby. :)
Then we all headed off to the expo to pick up our bibs and shirts.
We made it to the #werunsocial meet up.
After the expo, my sister and I headed to Renton for a rehearsal and rehearsal dinner for our Uncle's wedding. It was great seeing family, even some that came from the Philippines. Me and my sister tried not to stay up too late because of the race the next morning. Below is a pic of my Auntie's that came all the way from the Philippines with my 3 nephews.
Saturday morning, the race was pretty awesome! It was such a great experience running with Team Triumph Puget Sound. I will leave you with a couple of pics from the race, but you will have to check out my upcoming recap for more about the awesome run.
After the race, we headed back to my parents house to clean up and head to our Uncle and Auntie's wedding reception. It was a great time and fun to see everyone.
Sunday, was father's day and we had a yummy brunch at my brother's house to celebrate the dads. Everything was so good!
I was pretty happy I got to celebrate with my Dad and the rest of the fam.
I was sad to leave but also happy because I missed Hubby and the kiddos. It was really nice to get back home that evening.
That sums up my week! Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
This week, officially starts my Chicago Marathon training. I've decided on a training schedule I found on runnersconnect.net. I'm going with the 16 week basic intermediate one schedule so we will see how that goes. :)
Have a great week!
