With two races over the weekend, I modified my marathon training plan quite a bit. My plan was to run hard on Saturday's half marathon and then easy on Sunday, opposite of my training plan but I wanted to see if I could PR on Saturday's half and this was my best chance this year. My next planned half is RnR San Jose in October but it is the week before the marathon and it is going to be treated as an easy training run. I'm pretty happy with how things went this weekend and now with these races out of the way, I can concentrate on marathon training.

As to the weekend, Saturday morning I played tennis with a friend. It probably wasn't the best thing to do the morning of the half marathon but it was a lot of fun. I had not played in a long while so it was great playing again and made me realize how much I missed playing. I'm hoping to play more.
Hubby had heard about the game Pokemon Go and we downloaded it this weekend. The kids now want to play it all the time! It is great that it gets us outside for walks. I haven't quite figured it all out yet but it is fun so far. Have you downloaded the App and got in on the craze?
The only other exciting bits of the weekend were the races.
I hope to have the race recaps up this week so stay tuned. This upcoming weekend is our backpacking trip to Desolation Wilderness so I'm excited but I'm not quite sure how I'm going to get my long run in. I'll figure something out.
That sums up my week! Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
