Less than 2 weeks to go before I will be running the streets of Chicago. Well, 13 days to be exact. :) I am getting excited. I had an ok week of training. I'm saying ok because I missed my long run yesterday but I did make up those miles today so I feel better. I'm enjoying the taper as it is nice that my weekly mileage has decreased. I do have Rock 'n' Roll San Jose coming up on Sunday so I am excited about that. No worries, I'm not racing that one. It will be a nice comfortable run for me since I want to have somewhat fresh legs for Chicago.

Actual: Off. I just did not have time to fit it in being at Lake Tahoe for Hubby's work retreat. I had planned on doing it in the evening but we got home too late and I did not feel like running in the dark.
The weekend was fun and busy! Saturday morning started out with the kiddos soccer games. Both were at 9am so I only got pics from 7 year old's game. He did great! 5 year old did awesome too from what I heard from Hubby.
Right after the game, we headed to Tahoe for Hubby's work retreat. It was located at Granlibakken Resort. It's a pretty cool place to have a work retreat. While Hubby was in meetings I took the kiddos to the pool with some friends. The place has a nice pool and a really big hot tub (fits 20).
We explored the area a bit and went on a short hike by the resort grounds.
It's not far from Tahoe City where there is access to Lake Tahoe. We did some exploring by the lake too.
On Sunday Hubby was in meetings until about lunch time so we headed back to the lake to walk around and even played some Pokemon. The kiddos enjoyed playing in the water for a bit too.
Once Hubby was done with his work retreat, we had lunch at Dockside 700 Lakefront Grill and had a delicious lunch. It's a nice place right by the lake.
I had the bbq tri tip sandwich and it was so good!
However the highlight of the day was after lunch when we went to the Tahoe Treetop Adventure Park that is right by the resort where we stayed. It's an awesome place that has ropes courses and zip lines. The whole fam had a blast! I was scared on a few of the obstacles and on my first zip line run but found that the zip lines were my favorite part! So fun!
Have a great week!
