Rock'n'Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon Training 10/24-10/30

Happy Halloween! It's been another good week of workouts. Fall is definitely here in Northern California. We have managed to get some good rain this week. The kiddos last soccer games were even cancelled due to soggy fields. My runs were decent and it's been nice to run in cloudier conditions.

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 10/24 - Rest
Tuesday 10/25 - 5 miles. 1 mile w/u, 3 mile progression (8:27,8:17,8:05), 1 mile c/d.
Wednesday 10/26 - 5 miles with friends.
Thursday 10/27 - 3 miles and strength training workout.
Friday 10/28 - Rest
Saturday 10/29 - 5 mile run with a friend.
Sunday 10/30 - 11 mile long run with a friend.
The weekend was pretty good. Saturday morning started out with an early morning 5 mile run. Later in the morning, the whole fam went outside. Hubby actually ran with 7 year old. It's great because Hubby doesn't normally run so when he asked my 7 year old to go running it surprised me and made me so happy. They ran two miles, while I biked with 5 year old.
Here's a family selfie after Hubby and 7 year old finished their run. :)
The kids were supposed to have their last soccer game on Saturday but due to the rain the day before, their games were cancelled. However they both had their end of season parties, so they got to celebrate with their teammates one last time.
Sunday morning started with my 11 mile long run. It was a great run and it is always better running with a friend. Running with my friend Lenora is always fun since she pushes me and makes long runs so much funner. She's training for her first full in December (CIM) so she did 7 more miles than me that morning. I know she's going to do awesome!
The rest of the day was full of some errands and waiting for the rain to pass. When it wasn't horrible outside, we went for some walks with the kiddos to catch some Pokemon and the kids found some leaves to play with. :)
Fall is definitely here.
That pretty much sums up my week. Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
