It's been a great week off for the Kiddos for Thanksgiving break. I did catch up on some blogging and posted my recaps of Las Vegas for the 5K and half marathon. I got a bunch of runs in this week and I've decided I would give the Runner's World Run Streak a shot again this year. I attempted last year but could not finish due to a sick kiddo and Hubby out of town. Let's see if I can get it done this time!
Monday 11/21 - Rest
Tuesday 11/22 - 2 miles with 7 year old.
Wednesday 11/23 - 5 miles
Thursday 11/24 - 5 miles
Friday 11/25 - 2 miles
Saturday 11/26 - 3.74 miles
Sunday 11/27 - 9 miles. 6 with a friend and 3 on my own.
I just noticed that I actually started the streak early since I have run everyday since Tuesday! :) I really should start doing more cross training. I'm hoping to do the strength training on Thursday's again once school starts this week.
As to the week off of school. We managed to do some fun things during the week. On Tuesday, we headed to San Francisco to meet up with some friends. We met them at the Sutro Baths. It was neat because we saw the baths and then hiked the trails where we got some awesome views of the Golden Gate Bridge. We also got to check out Ghirardelli chocolate and did some PokemonGo hunting. The boys were excited to find 3 new Pokemon.
Thursday was of course Thanksgiving and we had some friends come over. Everyone was stuffed and the kids enjoyed playing with their friends.
Friday, we headed to San Jose for the Sharks game. It was our first Sharks hockey game. It was fun to watch and a very close game especially at the end. So happy the Sharks won with a goal in the last 22 seconds to win it.
Saturday we pretty much stayed in since the boys caught some sort of bug and weren't feeling great. Sunday they felt better and we got outside for a nice afternoon walk.
We also decorated a gingerbread house and got our Christmas tree up.
That pretty sums up my week. Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
