Here's what last weeks workouts looked like up to the Las Vegas Remix Challenge:
Monday 11/7 - Rest
Tuesday 11/8 - Good 4 miles. Ran 3 miles with 7 year old and a mile on my own. Always fun to run with my lil guy!
Wednesday 11/9 - 4.6 miles with friends.
Thursday 11/10 - 2 miles.
Friday 11/11 - Hiked Calico Tanks Trail with the fam at Red Rock Canyon. Look for the trip report later on the blog.
Saturday 11/12 - Rock'n'Roll Las Vegas 5K
Sunday 11/13 - Rock'n'Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon
Back to the weekend, we arrived in Las Vegas in the afternoon and thought it would be the best time to visit Red Rock Canyon. We hiked the Calico Tanks trail and it was awesome. The boys loved climbing the rocks and the views at the end were amazing!
Then we spent the rest of the day site-seeing and exploring the Las Vegas Strip. We did a bunch of walking.
Visited the M&Ms store. The kids enjoyed the short free 3D movie.
New York New York
Loved the Bellagio gardens. It was Thanksgiving themed!
The 5K was in the evening and it was a fun time! More about the 5K will be in the recap coming soon!
On Sunday, we took the kids to Town Square which is an outdoor shopping area outside of the Strip. They played in the outdoor play area, which is neat but geared towards younger kids. They didn't play long there but they did play some PokemonGo so they were happy and we got to shop some. We had lunch and then headed back to my parents house so that I could rest a bit before the half marathon.
Hubby and the boys dropped me off in the afternoon near the start festival for the half marathon before they headed off to Circus Circus for some fun! Hubby took this shot of the boys on one of the rides and told me they had a blast.
As for me, the half marathon went well! It was an awesome time and I will share more about my first time running in Vegas in my race recap but below are the medals. Rock'n'roll gives out some awesome bling! :)
Upcoming this week is my last race of the year! It'll be the local turkey trot 5K and I'll be doing it with 7 year old! :) That sums up my week. Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
