The week was a busy one with getting ready for our trip to Seattle and having everything ready for Christmas. The kids had school all week, their last day was Friday and it was half day. I'm not used to school ending so late for Christmas break but it worked out fine but Christmas snuck up on us real quick.
We left for Seattle Friday evening. It is so nice that it is only an hour and 20 minute flight. However we did have a late flight and landed at SEATAC at 9:30pm. With waiting for our car seats in baggage claim, getting our rental car, and driving to my brother's place, we did not get to his place until 11pm. The boys were happy to see their cousins that stayed up late just to greet them and of course it was great to see most of my fam in one place.
Saturday morning, I got in a good long run with my sister. She had 14 miles on her training schedule since she is training for a spring marathon, but since I wasn't on any sort of plan, I stuck with 10. It's always fun running with my sis. We ended the run with a fun jump pic. :)
My other brother came over on Christmas Eve, so it was nice to see the whole fam. Below is a pic of my parents with all of their grandchildren.
Had to get a pic of me, Hubby, and the boys by the Christmas tree.
We attended Christmas Eve mass and then hung out at home. A tradition in my family is to stay up till midnight and celebrate Christmas with some snacks. This year the boys and their cousins actually stayed up. They were happy to have a late night snack.
Christmas day, I got up for a mile to continue my streak before the kids opened their presents. More family came for lunch and dinner. Lots of yummy food was had and of course I ate way too much.
The boys are having a blast with their cousins and looking forward to the rest of the week with them.
That pretty sums up my week. Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
