I think that Spring is finally here in Northern California. We've had sunshine and dry days the last few days and it is a nice change from the constant cloudy and rainy days we've been having. I've heard we've had the most rain in 10 years in our area! The lakes and rivers are fuller and it looks like we don't need to worry about drought this summer so that is something to be happy about. Something else to be happy about is some new clothes! I am a big fan of prAna and I was happy to be chosen to receive a couple items of their spring line to share with you.

American River Parkway Half Marathon Training Week 7: 2/20-2/26

Week 7 of half marathon training went really well! I got in all my workouts in and pretty much hit all my paces in the schedule. Unfortunately Hubby started to feel crummy again on Wednesday so no new outdoor adventures for a while until he is better. However, I am fortunate to to still have running as my "me" time during such a busy week.

Davis Stampede 10K Race Recap 2/12/17

My first race of 2017 was the Davis Stampede 10K. I had done the race last year, but I remember being sick and was unable to really race it. This year, I again didn't actually "race" it since I didn't go all out but it was a good scheduled training run. Coach Dawn set the paces and I pretty much followed them. It was also a fun run because I got to run with my running buddy Elizabeth. 

American River Parkway Half Marathon Training Week 6: 2/13-2/19

Another decent week of training for the American River Parkway Half marathon is in the books. I got in all my running workouts but missed a cross training day due to my son's 6th birthday. It was also a busy weekend with his birthday party and both boys basketball games.

American River Parkway Half Marathon Training Week 5: 2/6-2/12

Week 5 of training went really well! I ran my first race on Sunday as a training run and was very happy with how it went. I got in my cross training workouts along with all the scheduled runs so I'm happy. The only bummer of the week was Hubby getting sick, which ruined our plans for any outdoor adventures over the weekend.

American River Parkway Half Marathon Training Week 4: 1/30-2/5

Week 4 of training has been good! I was worried at one point since I missed a workout due to a sick kiddo but thankfully I made it up the next day. I'm happy I hit my paces and also got in two days of cross-training.
