Week 9 of half marathon training is done and it went well! I was unexpectedly sore after Monday's cross training workout (we did a lot of leg work) and I ran afterwards which probably wasn't the best idea. But other than changing a couple of workouts due to being sore (Tuesday & Wednesday's) , I got all my workouts in and met my paces in my plan. We even got a family hike in on Saturday which was great!

The weekend started Friday night as we got dinner at our favorite sushi place, Huku. With being sick for 3 weeks, Hubby was excited to finally eat sushi again. I was happy to eat it again too! :)
Saturday was great as we went on hike with friends. We ended up doing 6.5 miles and it was a good time despite some kiddos falling and possibly playing by some poison oak. As of now, no rashes.
I think the kiddos favorite part was playing at this stream. We hung out here for a bit. I'm hoping to have a recap of the hike soon. Recap of the Lucky run 10 miler will be up this week too!
Sunday morning started out with my 12 mile long run. It was definitely harder without running at least part of it with friends, but no one could make it. I got it done and was happy with the run. The beautiful day helped!
While I was out running, the kiddos played soccer with some of the neighborhood kids. Hubby got this cute shot of them playing together before the game started.
After lunch, we took the kids out for a treat, some shaved ice before doing some errands.
That pretty much sums up my week! Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
