As to the weekend, Saturday we ventured to the coast. We checked out Point Reyes National Seashore and went to the lighthouse. Unfortunately the weather is unpredictable and even though back home it was nice and sunny, at the lighthouse, it was cloudy and we couldn't see much. It was still neat to see the lighthouse and we even went inside.
We had better luck with the weather on our hike on the Chimney Rock trail. It was a short almost 2 mile hike and and it was nice to actually see the ocean better and the cliffs were neat to see. We also saw some seals down at the beach below.
It was also fun to see my 8 year old run most of the trail too! I really need to run with him more.
After the short hike, we headed to Drake's beach where the kids enjoyed playing in the water.
On Sunday, I got my long run in and the kiddos played some soccer with the neighborhood kids.
In the afternoon, we were invited to a friends house where the boys enjoyed some swimming. That pretty much sums up my week! Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap. This week's new Guest Host for the Weekly Wrap is Heather from 3 Black Cat Co.. Please be sure and check out her blog!
