Another decent week of training is in the books! I can't believe we are about 6 weeks until my second full marathon. Happy I got in all of my runs and even a cross training workout with the girls, something I have missed.
Monday 10/16 -
Scheduled: 4-5 miles easy
Actual: 4 miles easy with my 8 year old. I actually forgot I had to run today and woke up too late to run before work. Turned out great because I got to run with my 8 year old. He did awesome for not running 4 miles in a long while.
Tuesday 10/17 -
Scheduled: Rest
Actual: Rest
Wednesday 10/18 -
Scheduled: 5 miles at 9:20-30, 4 x strides after 2 miles, +Drills and core after run
Actual: 5 miles with 4 x strides after 2 miles. Average pace for the 5 miles, 9:15.
Thursday 10/19 -
Scheduled: 2 miles easy, 4 x 6 minutes 7:55-8:05 w/ 3 minute recovery in between, 1.5-2 miles easy
Actual: 2 miles easy, my 6 minute intervals were at paces 8:07, 7:52, 7:53, & 7:52. Not bad considering it was hard for me to get out of bed and I started out in the dark. Ended up with 7.76 miles and felt really good afterwards!
Friday 10/20 -
Scheduled: 4-5 miles easy
Actual: 5 miles easy with a friend.
Saturday 10/21 -
Scheduled: Rest
Actual: Rest
Sunday 10/22 -
Scheduled: 1 hour 9:15-25, 5 x 1 min fast/1 minute moderate, 1 hour 9:15-25, 2 x 30 seconds fast/1 min moderate, 9:05-15 until you reach 2:45
Actual: I did the workout but I messed up the 30 seconds fast part, only partly did one but other than that I pretty much hit my paces (even slightly faster on some miles)! 2 hours and 45 minutes is long and I started feeling it towards the end but I pushed on through. Music really helped on this run.
Some highlights of the week, a night out with friends on Wednesday night. We went out for dinner at a yummy Thai place, got some gelato for dessert then sang some karaoke. Such a fun night. :)
Watched the 6 year old's and some of 8 year old's soccer game before I headed in to work.
Sunday, got a little more sleep before getting my long 2 hour 45 minute run in.
The rest of the day we did some errands. We found some Kinder eggs at World Market for the kiddos. They love the little toys that come with the chocolate egg.
That pretty much sums up my week! Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
