If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you may have seen my posts about being a part of the Sweatpink team doing the Rock Tahoe Half Marathon in June. I'm so excited about this race!
I've heard great things. I did a little research and have seen some great photos. Here are 5 things I'm looking forward to at this race.
1. Beautiful location - I've been to Lake Tahoe before and the lake is amazing. Located in the Sierra Nevada it's actually the largest alpine lake in North America. The scenery is so beautiful. You can see for yourself in the following pic. See that tunnel? The course takes us right through it. I believe it's called Cave Rock.

2. Great place for a racecation - Tahoe is an awesome place for a getaway. With the beautiful scenery and outdoor activities like hiking nearby it makes for a great place to run and also a make it a mini vacation. It's perfect for a girls getaway or even taking the whole family. I'm also looking forward to meeting other members of the sweatpink crew!

3. Downhill course - Check out the course map below. There's a lot of downhill which is awesome, but also some uphill to mix things up. There's an elevation loss of 815 feet which is nice! It could be a great course for a PR. It looks like there are also lots of great photo taking opportunities on the course too!

4. Awesome bling - I know some people run for the bling and I found this shot of last year's medal. So cool! I can't wait to see what the medal will be for this year!

5. After party - After the race, all participants and their guests are invited to recover at a pool party at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe pool! It sounds like it will be an awesome and fun time.
